On the Chatham Naval Memorial is the name of C/KX 96537 Stoker 1st Class John Thomas Pringle, serving on H.M.S. Juno with the Royal Navy who died 21/05/1941.

He was the son of Robert Anthony and Margaret Pringle and the husband of Annie Tait Pringle, of Shilbottle, Northumberland.
