On the Tower Hill Memorial is the name of Third Engineer John Colledge, serving on S.S. Gretaston (Glasgow) with the Mercantile Marine who died 11/04/1917.

The son of Annie Grey Colledge, of 19, Ripon Terrace, North Shields, and the late John Colledge. He was born at Tynemouth.

John Colledge is remembered at North Shields on N34.02 and N34.48, at Tynemouth in T36.14 page 7 and in our List of Ships’ Crews.
