On Tower Hill Memorial is the name of Engineer Officer Harry Corbitt serving on S.S. Port Hunter (London) with the Merchant Navy who died 11/07/1942.

The son of May Corbitt, of Newcastle upon Tyne.

In Gateshead East Cemetery is a family headstone which reads:

In loving memory of
William Hall 1870-1944

His wife Elizabeth Jane 1871-1930

Their son Mark 1896-1921

Their grandson Harry Corbett
Lost at sea July 1942 aged 21 years

Their daughter Ellen 1899-1986.
