On the Tower Hill Memorial is the name of Able Seaman Gerome Feretti, serving on S.S. Ottokar (London) with the Mercantile Marine who died 11/12/1917.

Gerome Feretti was born in Italy, the son of the late Stepano and Marie Feretti.  He was the husband of Mary Feretti (nee Bolton) of 12 Marine Road, Amble.

Gerome Feretti is remembered at Amble on A13.01 (where his name is given as “J. Feretti”) and in our List of Ships’ Crews.
