S.S. “Kingsbury”
24th February 1947, age 41

Oh hear us
when we cry to Thee
for those in peril
on the sea. Amen

The son of Joseph Elliott Wright and Mary Sim Wright, of South Shields and the husband of Florence Wright, of South Shields.

The S.S. Kingsbury was hit by a torpedo from U-Boat 338 on the 17th March 1943.

A.B. Wright died 4 years later.

Francis Edward Wright is remembered at Westoe in W101.08 page 91 and in our List of Ships’ Crews.
