On the Portsmouth Naval Memorial is the name of P/SSX 18429 Able Seaman Frederick Clifford Lott, serving on H.M.S. Hood with the Royal Navy who died 24/05/1941.

He was the son of Francis and Josephine Lott and the husband of Bessie Hilda Lott, of Forest Hall, Northumberland.

There is a family grave at Byker and Heaton Cemetery which reads:-

In loving memory of
Francis H. Lott 1880-1935
His wife Josephine 1890-1964

Their son Frederick Clifford 1917-1941
in H.M.S. Hood

He was born on the 29th May 1916 at Forest Hall.

Frederick Clifford Lott is remembered at Heaton on H91.41, and in H91.06, at Longbenton in L25.10, pages 14 -15 and in our List of Ships’ Crews.
