The son of Frank and Mary Jane Aiston and the husband of Harriet Aiston, of Millfield, Sunderland.

The Sunderland Echo 14/01/1941 reports:-
AISTON.—At the Royal Infirmary, on January 11, aged 33 years. Frank. Leading Seaman. R.N., the dearly-loved husband of Harriet (Hetty) Aiston. Interment at Bishopwearmouth Cemetery on Wednesday; cortege leaving residence. 1 Booth Street, at 2 p.m., for service in St. Mary Magdalene’s. All friends kindly invited. Deeply mourned.
