The son of Edna Eva Ludbrook and  stepson of Thomas Graham, of South Moor, Stanley.

The Newcastle Evening Chronicle 12/10/1943 reports:-
LUDBROOK. South Moor. 25. Parmeter Street, accidentally killed Oct. 9. 1943. Able Seaman Edward Ludbrook. R N.. aged 21 years, beloved son of Edna and Thomas. Deeply mourned.
