On Liverpool Naval Memorial is the name of Second Radio Officer Eric Hodgson, serving on H.M. Rescue Tug Sesame with the Naval Auxiliary Personnel (Merchant Navy) who died 11/06/1944.

H.M. Rescue Tug Sesame of 700 tons was sunk by torpedo from an E-Boat off Normandy on 11th June 1944.

Eric Hodgson is remembered at Blackhill on B145.03 and in our List of Ships’ Crews.
