On Portsmouth Naval Memorial is the name of P/KX 127662 Leading Stoker Christian Albert Renatus Gerner serving on H.M. Landing Craft Tank 7015 with the Royal Navy who died 18/10/1944.

The son of George and Ellen Mary Gerner and the husband of Olive Gerner, of Alnwick, Northumberland.

R.C. Fenwick adds he was killed off Zeebrugge on tank landing craft No. 7015 when the ship was blown out of the water. He was aged 33 years when he died.
