Every Name a Story

On Plymouth Naval Memorial is the name of Fleet Paymaster Bertram Howard Wodeman, serving on  H.M.S. Benbow with the Royal Navy who died 30/03/1918.

He was the son of the Rev. H. and Mrs. Wodeman, of Stockton on Tees and the husband of Violet Wodeman, of 24, St. Mark’s Court, St. John’s Wood, London.

His father Henry was vicar at St Peter’s Church Stockton from 1875 to 1905. Bertram was born at Eaglescliffe in 1876.
