In Tynemouth (Preston) Cemetery is a family headstone which reads:

In loving memory of
Mary Ann Jennings
died 31st July 1950 aged 74 years

Also her dear husband
Edward Jennings
died 20th July 1963 aged 98 years.

Edward Jennings, B.E.M. son
died 12th June 1964 aged 64 years.

also William, March 1942, aged 39

and Anthony, July 1942 aged 36
both killed at sea by enemy action
R.I.P.

Anthony Jennings was the son of Edward and Mary Ann Jennings, and the husband of J. Jennings, of North Shields, Northumberland.

His brother William also died.

Anthony Jennings is remembered in our List of Ships’ Crews.
