Newscutting WW1 regarding Interned Prisoners

Notes

The news cutting (undated) was sent to a Mrs Storey, of 29 Horsley Hill Road, South Shields. It shows Naval Officers who had been captured and their ships interned at the outbreak of War and were in captivity.

It shows left to right standing:
Chief Engineer Osborne, South Shields. S.S. Longhirst;
Captain Cordiner, South Shields. S.S. Heworth;
Captain Davidson, Sunderland, S.S. Cogent;
Seated: Captain Noel, Sunderland. S.S. Longhirst,
Captain Storey, South Shields. S.S. Garesfield,
Captain Colvin, North Shields, S.S. Lerversons.
