Triptych, copper covered, 42 inches high x 37 inches when open (106cms x 94cms).

There is a glass covered picture in centre, entitled “Remembrance”, showing a young lady near a gravestone, with foliage round her feet.

At the top, and behind her head, is painted a tablet with a general dedication painted on.

The inscriptions on insides of both doors are hand-painted in a mixture of styles, Old English capitals and italics, in gilt with black shadowing.

There are laurel wreaths in the gable top, and on the outsides of the doors.

1. The central painting is eaten up with damp, covered with white blotches, making it difficult to see the actual subject detail of the picture.

2. This was a well-known and much used painting.
The identical picture can be seen in Boulmer Village Hall B49.03 at Forest in Teesdale School F45.02
