Memorial Description:

Plaque, very plain, 18 inches high x 30 inches wide (457 mm x 762 mm).

The letters are in blue Roman capitals.

Notes:

1. This memorial was unveiled on the same day as the memorials in Alnmouth and Lesbury by the Duke of Northumberland.

2. In an annual report, the Alnmouth Branch of the British Legion said that they had erected three memorials, which had cost them £84 0s 6d. and that the Women’s Section had paid half the costs.

3. The Faculty required the words “9 Bn” to be deleted after the name “Noah” as “a barbarous abbreviation”.
