numbered amongst those who at the call
of King and Country left all that was dear
to them, endured hardship, faced danger
and finally passed out of the sight of men
by the path of duty and self sacrifice
giving up their own lives that others
might live in freedom.

Plaque mounted on a solid oak pattress with rounded top.

There is a single line border.

The name of the church follows the curved shape at the top. The dates underneath are on either side of a wreath.

The names are listed in two columns.

Lettering is in Roman capitals.

1. In 2005 the Methodist Church was demolished and the Parish Church closed. A new joint church was built on the Methodist site.

2. The Methodist memorials are stored in the new building.

3. In 2014 the plaque was refurbished.

4. In 2014 the Anglican members of St. Peter’s & St. John’s Anglican & Methodist Church decided to move to Witton Gilbert St. Michael’s. The Church is now known as Sacriston Methodist Church.
