Notes:

1. The Roll of Honour was made by Washington School’s Military History and European Culture Project – students spent 2016 studying the First World War and visited Thiepval and the Somme. The school did not have a WW1 Roll of Honour so the decision was made to make one as part of the project.

2. Sapper Richard Walker attended the school and was killed in action in 2013 in Afghanistan. The students did not feel it was right that he would have not been named within the school memorials, so dedicated this to him. His family were invited to view the Roll of Honour before it went on display.

3. View by appointment only. Please contact Williamson.N@washingtonschool.co.uk
