Unveiled 28th August 1921 by Earl Grey of Howick.

Bronze plaque in ancient teak frame.

Frame carved by Mr. John Gray, an Ex-Serviceman from Craster.

In memory of
the following men of
Craster and Dunstan
who fell in the Great War
August 1914 – November 1918.

“Greater love hath no man than this,
that a man lay down his life for his friends”

Plaque, 40 inches high x 25 inches wide (101cms x 64cms), rectangular but with pointed top and sitting on a small shelf.

The plaque sits in a wood frame.

There is a border pattern of clover leaves (shamrocks?) coloured green inside a frame of a broad and a fine line.

At centre top is a cross coloured red.

The lettering is in Roman capitals for the dedication and sans serif capitals for the names, which are listed in a single column.

The quotation at the bottom is in sans serif letters.
