Plaque 25 inches high by 17½ inches wide (64cms x 44cms).

It has a border of Celtic intertwined rope pattern with knots in each of the four corners.

The top line is in Gothic script.

The names are listed in two columns using Roman capitals throughout.

1. This was originally the Blyth Secondary School, changed in 1946 to Blyth Grammar School and in 1974 to Blyth Tynedale High School on a different site. The old Grammar School became Delaval Secondary, then Middle School.

2. In 2000 following the amalgamation of Tynedale High School and Ridley High School the school became Blyth Community College . In 2008 it changed its name to The Blyth School, Community College, Chase Farm Drive.

3. From the school, 200 boys and 3 teachers had served. 42 attained Commissioned rank; the following awards were achieved: one Medaille d’Honneur; 3 Military Medals; one Croix de Guerre.

4. There was a proposal to endow a school prize annually for top boy and top girl with whatever funds were left over.

5. The name of William Elliott should be Elliot (Daphne Kennedy)
