(Dedicated to 2nd Lieut. Malcolm Dunn, 22nd Batt. N.F., and Coy. Sgt. Major T. Smyth, 19th Batt., N.F., both killed in action.)

Memorial Description:

Framed memorial containing two photos of teachers who had been killed.

Notes:

1. The present Headmaster reports that very little was salvaged from the burnt building.

2. The two men named were formerly assistant teachers at the school. They joined up with Lt. Miller, 19th Batt., N.F., who lost a leg, but was able to return to his old position at the school.

3. The surplus funds were to be used to set up two prizes to commemorate Messrs. Smyth and Dunn.
