Memorial Description:

Leaflet, described as “A Memorial”.

The front page bears (to the left) a coloured picture of a massive army of sailors and soldiers marching, there is a tank depicted, plus (on the right) nurses and others in a cathedral setting.

There is a scene of battleships in the distance.

Above them all is a very large angel with a palm frond.

In the bottom right hand corner the words “To God be praise” are on a ribbon.

Inside are listed the names of those who died and those who served.

Names:

40 names, ranks and regiments of the fallen listed by year;
194 names and ranks of those who served, including 4 WAACs.

Notes:

1. It is conjectured that possibly this was issued to those who returned and to the families of those who fell, though this is not certain.

2. The leaflet was found by Mrs. Smith in papers belonging to her grandfather, Pte. J.T. Siddle who is listed among the living.
