Stockton United Reformed Church was formed on 20th September 1987 when three United Reformed Fellowships in central Stockton were joined as one. These were Queens Park URC, St Andrew and St George URC and Yarm Road Memorial URC.

Memorial Description:

Communion table 30 inches deep x 60 inches wide x 37 inches high (76cms x 152cms x 94cms) and chairs.

There is a plaque 3 inches high x 5 inches wide (8cms x 13cms) which bears the dedication.

The names are listed in two columns.

The lettering is incised using Roman upper case lettering for the dedication and names, and italic lower case for the quotation.

Notes:

1. St. Andrew’s Church (founded 1848) and St. George’s Presbyterian (1847) were brought together in 1934.

2. The Crookston brothers are remembered at Thornaby. There was a Congregational Church at Mansfield Street, Thornaby 1886-1955.
