Dedicated by Rev. E.B. Hicks, M.A., Vicar of Haltwhistle.

Aberdeen granite cross on two-stepped base of Kenton freestone.

Cross of St.Cuthbert type on tall slightly tapering shaft, total height 10 feet (3m), standing on a square base 41 inches x 33 inches (104cms x 83 cms).

The dedication is on the front of the shaft, with the lettering carved to stand proud.

The quotation is on the front of the square base.

Lettering is a mixture of Old English and elongated Roman capitals.
