by the Staff and Employees of
the Seaton Delaval Co-operative Stores
in respectful memory of their colleagues
Alex Cairns, and Ralph Bell,
who gave their lives for their Country
in the 1939-45 War.

Memorial Description:

Sanctuary Chair of solid wood, with sides formed out of single pieces of wood.

It has a low back with a panel formed by incising the frame around it.

On the back is a small brass plaque bearing the dedication, incised in sans serif letters.
