Memorial Description

Stained glass window of two lights with, above, an angel bearing the royal coat of arms.
The left light depicts the angel of Peace bearing a lily with (below) a lighthouse with a city and sunrise beyond.
The right light depicts the angel of Hope carrying an anchor, with a ship in full sail below, presumably heading for the lighthouse and the harbour. Above both angels is a cherub looking down. The words “Peace” and “Hope” are each painted on a scroll. The dedication is carried across the foot of both lights, also inscribed on a scroll in black lettering.
Alongside is an oak plaque bearing the names. This has a dome at centre top supported by leaves on either side. Inside the dome is a laurel wreath raised in half relief with the words “Roll of honour” inside and the dates outside. The names are listed in six columns, The quotation is in the bottom border. All lettering is carved using sans serif capitals.
