Memorial Description

Plaque. At top left hand corner is the monogram of the Society. In the top right hand corner are the scales of Justice. In the middle of the plaque is a laurel wreath raised in half relief, inside which are the names of those who fell. The names of those who served are listed in a single column on either side. All lettering is in raised Roman capitals. The names with a raised dot beside them were mentioned in despatches.

Notes

1. When the Sunderland Club closed, the building was occupied by a law firm. It is now (2014) occupied by Milltech, a training company, and Newton Lee Insurance.

2. In 2015 the Society no longer has its own premises and a new home is being sought for it.
