Unveiled August 1920 by Lt. J. Pringle, 14th N.F., an Old Boy, now Science Master at Elresford Grammar School near Winchester.

Memorial Description

Plaque. At centre is a panel containing a popular painting called “Remembrance” with a female figure representing grief. It is a reproduction of a popular picture by the Fine Arts Publishing Co. Ltd.
The names are inscribed on brass plates.

1. The memorial was unveiled in the Town Hall, with the intention of placing it in the School.

2. A copy of this picture can be seen in Boulmer War Memorial Institute and Felton Church. There is also one in Bedale Church in Wensleydale
