At the bottom are the tiny letters “Mowbrays 336” which suggests a standard form.

At the foot are the words “For King and Country” with red capital letters.

66 names and ranks.
See transcript.

Notes:

1. This was found in a cupboard in 1998.

2. The red cross at the top was re-touched by those who rediscovered the memorial and wished to restore the faded writing. The red ink used ran slightly, so a black border was drawn round the relevant letters. The parchment has been touched up where the lettering had faded, and placed in an oak frame with glass front.
