Memorial Description:

Plaque, rectangular, 66 inches high x 90 inches wide (168cm x 229cms) with a Gothic arched top at centre.

There is a border of fawn mottled marble, also used to divide the plaque into four panels of white marble.

In the arch at the top is a cross, carved and gilded, with the dedication below, incised using Gothic script and coloured black.

The main plaque is divided into four panels, each bearing names in sans serif lettering.

1. Mr. R.A. Ray also designed memorials at Southwick Holy Trinity and Mowbray Park, Sunderland.

2. Illustrated Chronicle states the design “was prepared by” Mr. Thomas M. Morley.
