Unveiled 5th June 1921 by Col. W. Mathwin Angus of Newcastle.

Memorial Description

Plaque 2 feet 9 inches high x 2 feet wide set on a wood pattress 1 inch wider all round. The plaque has a raised decorated border. At top left is a cross set on a laurel wreath. The dedication is to the right, and beneath this are raised the symbols of the rose, thistle and shamrock.
The names are listed in three columns, with the quotation beneath. Lettering is in raised Roman capitals.
There is a shelf below for vases, with a retaining strip half way up which carries a roundel bearing a cross.
