Notes

1. The central photograph is that of Francis Bevis Ellis, the son of the vicar.

2. Mrs. Brenda Dowsen wrote in October 2004 to the Rev. Liddle of Bothal Church to ask whether she could place a picture of her great-uncle, Peter White, in the church, who is on the war memorial cross but does not feature in the frame. However, although Rev. Liddle was sympathetic, this was not allowed.
