Memorial Description

Roll of Honour, set in a plain wooden frame, measuring 36 inches high by 30½ inches wide. The Roll is decorated with a wide highly coloured pattern of leaves across the top and down the left hand side only. Half way down the left hand border is inserted an oval picture of Blyth Harbour. The names are handwritten in black in two columns, using upper and lower case Roman letters.

1. At the outbreak of war, there were 383 staff, of whom 116 joined up, and 6 were wounded.
