Unveiled 18th September 1920 by Major J. Graham, a past-President of the Northumberland Rugby Union.

Memorial Description

Plaque, 4 feet 8 inches high x 2 feet wide. It has a domed top which is pointed, like a mosque. There is a border pattern of a twisted string, raised on a black background. At the top is the symbol of the City of Newcastle Golf Club, a windmill surmounted by two crossed golf clubs.
The dedication is in Roman capitals. The names are listed in two columns divided by a single vertical line, using sans serif capitals.

Notes

1. The memorial was referred to as commemorating the "Gosforth Nomads" who fell in the war.

2. From the Club, 130 members joined the colours, of whom 23 died.
