Cross of Saxon design approx. 79 inches high (201cms) of rough hewn stone.

The shaft has a sword raised into it.

It has three panels.

The dedication is on the sunken front panel using sans serif capitals with the dedication in italics.

The names are carried on bronze columns on each side.

1. The parishes of Boldron and Egglestone Abbey were invited to have a joint memorial.

2. One proposal was for a stone seat

3. It was cleaned and refurbished in 1995 by Messrs. Bainbridge Bros. of Darlington.

4. This war memorial formed the basis of a study by Catherine Ryan for a Master’s Degree in Local and Family History with the University of Dundee. Follow the link below.
