Notes

1. Alfred Lawson was the son of Mr. Benjaman Dain Lawson, chairman of the Committee.

2. The Roll of Honour was unveiled at a weekly Sunday meeting of the Temperance Union.

3. It is thought that this hall was used as the HQ for the Gospel Temperance Union, as it was also used as the King's Alexandra theatre. "The Temperance people used this building as their HQ for many years" (Mark C. Robson in the Church's Centenary booklet).

4. The building was originally a Congregational Church built in 1824 and opened for worship in 1825. It was sold to the Gospel Temperance Union after 1884.
