Two framed Rolls of Honour, each 4 feet high x 2 feet 6 inches wide, including frame which is 3 inches wide.
E7.02a lists the names of those who served from "Amos" to "Logan". In the top left hand corner is a picture of an attack on the trenches. In the top right is a sinking ship with sailors in a lifeboat. The central panel is formed by a painted classical arch, the top of which contains the words "East Chevington Institute" on a ribboned scroll, below which are several flags surrounding a shield which bears the face of King George V. At the foot of the pillars of the arch are a soldier and a sailor standing on guard.
E7.02b lists the names of those who served from "Luke" to "Young". The basic design is the same, except that the pictures at the top are of (left) a battleship firing its guns and (right) soldiers in battle with a tank in the background. At the foot of the arch column the sailor stands to the left and a soldier stands to the right. In place of King George V, the face of Queen Mary is on the shield.
Both paintings are in water-colour, with the names listed in three columns hand-written in elaborate script below the words "Roll of Honour" on a gold ribbon with dog roses.
