Unveiled 1921 by Lieut.Col. R. Chapman, C.M.G., D.S.O.; dedicated by Rev. W.P. Mayor, Vicar of St.Michael’s.

Memorial Description

Plaque 3 feet high x 1 foot 6 inches wide (912mm x 457 mm). There is a triple line border with a thick line between two thinner ones. The YMCA badge is below the words “South Shields” at the top, the inverted triangle being in red. Names are listed in a single column. Lettering is in a mixture of fonts.
