On the Helles Memorial is the name of 4336 Private John Harrison, serving with the Northumberland Fusiliers who died 07/08/1915.

Angela Conroy has submitted the following death notice which appeared in the Newcastle Daily Journal 04/10/1915:

'Private John Harrison, 8th Battalion N.F. was killed at the Dardanelles on August 7. He resided at 47 Percy Street, Tynemouth.'

He is remembered in Tynemouth on T36.01 and T36.14 page 13
