In Tynemouth (Preston) Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave with a private headstone of Lieutenant Henry John Naysmith Kidd serving with the 2nd Battalion West Yorkshire Regiment (Prince of Wales's Own) transferred to Labour Corps who died 13/05/1918.

The headstone reads:

In affectionate
memory
of my dear husband
Henry John Naysmith Kydd
of Arbroath,
Lieut. 3rd Duke of Wellington’s Regt.
who died at Tynemouth, May 13th 1918
aged 32 years.
“No more pain”.

He is remembered in Tynemouth on T36.01
