In Tynemouth (Preston) Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave with a private headstone of 1560 Sapper Frederick Jull serving with the 1st/2nd Durham Field Company Royal Engineers who died 20/09/1916.

The headstone reads:

In
Loving Memory of
our dear son
Sapper Frederick Jull, R.E.
who died at Manchester Sept. 20th
from wounds received in action
at Delville Wood
July 24th 1916, aged 23 years.
He fought and fell for love of
Home and Country.
At Rest.
Mary Jane Jull, his mother
Born May 22nd 1867, died July 21st 1931.

He is remembered in Walker on W2.06, in North Shields on N34.25 and in Tynemouth in T36.14 page 15
