On the Vis-en-Artois Memorial, Pas de Calais, France, is the name of 10141 Andrew Mason serving with the 2nd Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers who died 05/10/1918.

In Killingworth (St. John) Churchyard is a family headstone which reads:

In affectionate remembrance
William Mason
the beloved husband of
Elizabeth Jane Mason,
who lost his life by a fall of stone
at Dudley Colliery, July 27th 1891,
aged 47 years.
Also of Matthew, their son,
who died Jany. 17th 1882
aged 3 years and 6 months.
Also of Elizabeth their daughter,
who died Oct. 13th 1887,
aged 11 years and 6 months.
Also of Pte. Andrew Mason, 2nd N.F.
their son who was killed in action in
France Octr. 5th 1918 aged 44 years.
Also the above Elizabeth Jane Mason,
who died Sept. 20th 1922 aged 74 years.
