Hart, J., Pte., 1916
In Faubourg d’Amiens Cemetery, Arras, Pas de Calais, France, is the Commonwealth War Grave of 19/1242 Private John Hart, serving with the 19th Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers, who died 10/10/1916.

Morpeth Herald 03/11/1916 carries a brief obituary:

Mrs Hart, 41 Garden Terrace, Earsdon, has received word that her husband, Pte. John Hart, was killed by a trench mortar on October 10th. Prior to joining the Army [the] deceased worked at Church Pit, Backworth.

He is remembered at Earsdon on E3.01 E3.02 and E3.03 and in B1.03Roll of Honour Backworth and District, a printed book.
