In Dozinghem Military Cemetery, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium, is the Commonwealth war Grave of 40656 Private Gladstone Elliot serving with the 1st Battalion, Northamptonshire Regiment who died 24/11/1917.

In Newbrough (St. Peter) Cemetery is a family headstone which reads:

Frankham, 25th Dec. 1916
aged 60 years

their youngest son
who died of wounds in France

Henry Elliot
died 15th Jan. 1940
aged 89 years

Gladstone was the son of Henry Elliot and the late Mary Amy Elliot of Frankham, Fourstones.

Aged nineteen, he was wounded at Passchendaele on 23 November 1917 and died two days later from his wounds.

He attended Newbrough Boys School, leaving in 1912.
