Robinson, S., Pte., 1918
In Capelle Beaudignies Road Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of 77981 Private Samuel Robinson serving with the Northumberland Fusiliers who died 24/09/1918.

Carole Fife has provided the following:

Sam was born at Kitty Brewster, Blyth, in 1899, the youngest of four children to Edward and Elizabeth Robinson. His father died shortly after Sam was born, and in the 1901 census his mother was working as a washerwoman to support her family. In 1910 she married William Trobe and the family moved to the Bridge End at the Bedlington Iron Works.. Sam and his two brothers all worked in the pits at Bedlington. He was only 19 when he died, three weeks before the end of the War.

He is remembered in Bedlington Station on B163.04 and in Bedlington B15.06
