Young, W.G., Pte., 1917
In Newcastle-upon-Tyne (Byker and Heaton) Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of 18/1033 Private William Geddes Young, serving with the Durham Light Infantry who died 24/07/1917.

Coroners report No. 355 dated 25th July 1917.

"William Geddes Young aged 38 years. Private No. 1033 Durham Light Infantry Depot, Newcastle. Home address. 233 Conyers Road, Byker, died in 1st Northern General Hospital at 5.15am on 24th.

After enquiries the Coroner granted a Certificate. No inquest necessary. Injured at seat of War."

He is remembered at Byker on B95.17
