Langlands, E.W., A/Smn., 1915
On the Helles Memorial is the name of Tyneside Z/2605 Able Seaman Edward Walker Langlands, serving with the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve who died 19/06/1915.

Colin Boyd had supplied the following:

Edward was born on 18th April 1889 and was working as a labourer living with his parents, Edward James and Margaret Jane at 39, Denham Terrace, Wallsend when he enlisted in the Royal Naval Division on 28th December 1914.

Edward joined the Hawke Battalion on 9th May 1915 and was posted as killed in action in Gallipoli on 19th June 1915.

Edward Walker Langlands is remembered in Wallsend on W7.03, W7.09 page 13 and W7.21
