Victor Medd was the son of John Medd (a draper's assistant and later, furnishing salesman) and his wife, Kate.
Little is known about his military career, other than he served as a Private with the 10th Battalion of the Durham Light Infantry, and was killed in action on 16th September 1916 in the Somme, age 19.
Victor is remembered at Harton on H104.03, at South Shields on S86.027, and in S86.086 page 10
