Robinson, D.E., 2nd Lieut., 1916
In Serre Road Cemetery No.2 is the Commonwealth War Grave of Second Lieutenant Douglas Eric Robinson, serving with the Durham Light Infantry, who died 15/09/1916.

The Court Journal 06/10/1916 reports:

Robinson – Killed in action, September 15th, Douglas Eric Robinson, Second Lieutenant Durham Light Infantry, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. C.R. Robinson, 11 Langholm Crescent, Darlington, aged 22 years.”

He is remembered at Darlington onD40.021 and D40.034
