In Cinq Rues British Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Grave of 59025 Private Frederick Blunt, serving with the 15th Battalion West Yorkshire Regiment (Prince of Wales Own) who died 28/06/1918.

In Burnmoor St Barnabas Churchyard is a family headstone which includes the following:-
Pte. Frederick Blunt
West Yorks.
beloved son of
George & Elizabeth Ann Blunt
who was killed in France 28th
Jan. 1918 aged 19 years

He was born on the 31st June 1898, at New Lambton and was the son of George and Elizabeth Ann Blunt, 22 Chapel Row, New Lambton. He attended Chester-le-Street Secondary School as a pupil. He enlisted at Houghton-le-Spring.

Frederick Blunt is remembered at Chester-le-Street on C105.14 and at Burnmoor on B154.01, B154.05 and B154.06
