In Gordon Dump Cemetery, Ovillers-la-Boiselle is the Commonwealth War Grave of 14184 Private David Johnson, serving with the Durham Light Infantry who died 01/07/1916.

His death was reported in Heslop's Local Advertiser 18/08/1916:
"Private David Johnson, D.L.I., killed in action on 1st July, aged 20 years. Son of Robert and Sarah Ann Johnson of 14, Oak Street, Jarrow, late of Wardley Colliery."

David Johnson is remembered at Jarrow on J2.10
